Don’t define your world in black and white; there is so much hiding amongst the greys.
I found this quote this past week but there was no author. So...not my words but it did open my eyes a bit with it's meaning.
Things aren't always as they appear - so many times I thought I knew something or knew a situation only to find out later I was completely wrong - what actually happened was something that hadn't even occurred to me. I now try to push myself to see things "outside the box" and realize that things aren't always as they appear. How something appears is just one's own perspective anyway, right? So that in itself doesn't necessarily make it "true". It definitely takes a while to "unlearn" something you've done for so long but it sure is sweet to make the effort, not react to something, breathe deep and wait for the "bad" to pass (trust me, it will). Then, sometimes what was unseen will suddenly appear with perfect clarity.
